Welcome to the first edition of The Low Down for 2023! We hope you’ve had a great start to the year and have had a chance to get your feet under the desk.

Here’s the low down on the call for applications for OnBoard, the KCA Networking Event, and upcoming meetings. Plus, we recognise Seumas and Glen’s 10-year anniversary with KiwiNet!

Call for OnBoard Program Applications!

Calling all staff from KiwiNet shareholder organisations who are looking to step up their governance game!

KiwiNet is partnering with OnBoard to exclusively place two participants into the 2023 OnBoard Program. We have extended applications until 31 January 2023 - if you know someone who would benefit from this opportunity, forward this newsletter on.

What is OnBoard?

The OnBoard Program grows an individual’s governance capability through quarterly training modules on governance fundamentals and placement onto a board as an observer.

Who should apply?

Applicants should be mid-career level and have leadership and governance aspirations.

​

They should have their manager's support to participate – this will involve one quarterly Auckland-based workshop, preparation time for board meetings, and attendance of board meetings over the course of 12 months.

​

The criteria is based on the level of aspiration of the applicant and how the intervention would impact on the applicant’s leadership journey. No pre-existing governance experience is required!
